It is possible to get a user's country and region just using Javascript without any third party Library. There are various api's and libraries available on the Internet which gives you the most accurate data for the user's location, but it has its own restrictions for the free use.
In this post we are going to check out the most easy and free method to get user's Country and Region using Javascript. Although the result might not be accurate but as this data can be modified by the user which rarely someone does.
We are going to use Intl.DateTimeFormat which is an ECMAScript Internationalization API which can be used to Identify various Information regarding user's Timezone, Date/Time Formatting etc.
To get the user's Country and Region using Javascript code as follows
Intl.DateTimeFormat().resolvedOptions().timeZone;
The above gives result as 'Asia/Calcutta' for my Location you must try the above for your country and region.
Now you can code as follows to get the country
Copy the JSON data for MapTimezoneToCountry

var mapTimezoneToCountry;
userTimeZone = Intl.DateTimeFormat().resolvedOptions().timeZone;
